The Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability (CR&S) Practitioner apprenticeship is designed to equip retail leaders with the skills and knowledge to drive meaningful change, promoting sustainability and ethical practices across the industry.

This apprenticeship equips your employees with the tools and knowledge to embed sustainability as a core part of your business. Learners will discover how to identify relevant social and environmetal risks to the business, collect and analyse CR&S data, and own and deliver initiatives and campaigns that contribute to the business's CR&S strategy.

This programme will develop a new generation of retail professionals who champion sustainability and ethical leadership. The course covers technological advances and strategic thinking for impact and KPIs, and learners will also learn to quality-assure internal and external projects and campaigns to ensure that CR&S activities are compliant with regulatory standards.

The Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprenticeship costs £14,000 per learner which includes End-Point Assessment.

Apprenticeships can be funded from your Apprenticeship Levy or by Government Co-Invest. If you do not pay the Levy, the Government will fund 95% of the programme, meaning you pay as little as £700 per person you enrol. We are also able to offer privately funded places for any employees not eligible for apprenticeship funding. For further information about funding options, eligibility and costs, please contact us.

Duration: 18 months

The Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner programme typically takes 18 months to complete, followed by a period of end-point assessment.

We can begin a closed intake apprenticeship at any time that suits your brand. We require a minimum of 10 learners to offer a closed cohort for Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner apprentices.

Off-the-job learning is delivered through a combination of full day and half day group workshops approximately every 2-3 weeks, which may take place online or in person.

  • Managing and influencing stakeholder relationships.
  • Tailor communication across forms and audiences.

  • Ethical data use, corporate responsibility, and sustainability principles.

End-point assessment

For the Level 4 Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability Practitioner Apprenticeship, end-point assessment is provided by EFI Awards. EPA typically takes 3 months to complete.
