Overview

This one-day course, designed for merchandising assistants, gives you an introduction to the WSSI (Weekly Sales, Stock and Intake), the most used fashion retail intake, sales and stock control system. The system is used by retail companies to plan, monitor and optimise sales and stock on a weekly basis.

You’ll use interactive WSSI examples and exercises to get practical experience in using the platform. We’ll show you how the WSSI works and what you’d use it for on a daily basis, as well as teach you about the principles of allocation, replenishment and markdowns. You’ll complete simulated exercises to practice putting your theoretical knowledge into action.

By the end of the course, you’ll have developed a good understanding of the WSSI sales and stock management tool, and the detail behind the formulas. You’ll have tried different scenarios and understand the changes that are happening to the WSSI.
